Professional Auto Body Abrasives & Sanding Systems
Achieve a flawless, mirror-like automotive finish with INDASA. Manufactured in Portugal to the highest European standards, INDASA is a global leader in high-performance coated abrasives. From heavy-duty RhynoGrip discs for stripping paint and shaping body filler, to ultra-fine Rhynowet sheets for color sanding clear coat, INDASA delivers consistent, uniform scratch patterns that professional painters demand.
RhynoGrip vs. RhynoStick
INDASA offers two main backing types for dual-action (DA) sanders. RhynoGrip utilizes a premium hook-and-loop (Velcro) backing, allowing you to quickly swap discs on the fly and reuse them later. RhynoStick (PSA) uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive (sticky back) that is highly favored for perfectly flat block-sanding, as it offers zero cushioning between the paper and the sanding block.
Wet vs. Dry Sanding (Rhynowet)
When you are leveling clear coat (removing orange peel), dry sanding creates too much friction and heat. INDASA Rhynowet Plus is specifically engineered with a waterproof latex-impregnated paper backing. Using it wet flushes away clear coat dust, prevents the paper from "loading up" or pilling, and produces a scratch pattern that easily polishes out to a high gloss.
What is INDASA RhynoGrip Red Line used for?
The Red Line series is INDASA's most advanced, heavy-duty abrasive line. It utilizes aluminum oxide grit combined with a specialized anti-clogging lubricant layer. It is the premier choice for aggressively stripping hard clear coats, sanding fiberglass, and roughing in body filler.
Do INDASA sanding discs require a specific backup pad?
While INDASA RhynoGrip discs will stick to any standard hook-and-loop DA sander pad, it is highly recommended to match the vacuum hole pattern (e.g., 6-hole, 15-hole) to your sander's extraction pad. This maximizes dust extraction, keeping your work area clean and extending the life of the disc.
