Fel-Pro SS72873-1 Valve Stem Seal Set
Description
A valve stem seal set is crucial for maintaining optimal engine performance by preventing oil from entering the combustion chamber through the valve guides. These seals help to control oil consumption and reduce exhaust emissions, ensuring proper lubrication of the valve stems while preventing excessive oil from burning off. A worn or failing valve stem seal can lead to increased oil consumption, blue smoke from the exhaust, and reduced engine efficiency.
This valve stem seal set is designed for a range of applications, ensuring a precise fit and reliable sealing performance.

OEM or aftermarket?
An OEM part is made by, or for, the company that built the vehicle and carries their branding. An aftermarket part is made by another manufacturer to fit the same application, usually for less. Quality runs from below OEM to above it depending on the brand, so the name on the box matters more than the label.
