Description

Motorcraft Hoses are engineered to provide original equipment performance and reliability. These hoses undergo rigorous lab and real-world tests to meet Ford engineering standards.

  • Performance Testing: Hoses are tested for static and dynamic pressure, burst pressure, and temperature extremes.
  • Flexibility: Tested to minus 40 degrees F.
  • Heat Resistance: Heat aging tests resistance to high temperatures from 275 degrees F to 300 degrees F.
  • Hose Swell: Tests measure hose expansion at high pressure and temperatures up to 285 degrees F.
  • Chemical Resistance: Immersion tests help ensure resistance to chemical breakdown from coolant exposure.
  • Burst Pressure: Tested up to ten times the maximum peak operating pressure.
  • Easy Installation: Most coolant hoses are molded to fit the application for easy installation.
  • Durable Material: Premium quality EPDM rubber is used in most hoses, designed to help resist heat, oil, grease, antifreeze, and all approved coolant additives.
  • Reinforcement: EPDM construction often includes reinforcements, depending on application and use, such as Kevlar, Nomex, Technora, and Rayon.
