Motorcraft Alarm Switch Assemblies must meet Ford's stringent O.E. quality, performance and durability standards that include Key Life testing to the equivalent of 10-years/150,000 miles for passenger cars and light trucks. Motorcraft Alarm Switch Assemblies must pass a series of punishing functional and materials tests to ensure their durability, functionality and long life - including tests for proper electrical functionality, material fatigue, mechanical and vibration use-life/endurance, dust, water, car wash detergent exposure, as well as corrosion resistance (salt spray testing), extreme temperatures operation and more.
