Description
WIX HD Air Filters feature a cellulose/poly media with skip-a-pleat media stabilization and hot melt stabilization beads for contaminant holding capacity that out performs many of our top competitors with a minimum efficiency of 99.9% contaminant removal. High strength, corrosion resistant end caps and expanded metal bodies with superior sealing components insure a high strength, long lasting filter. Wix Premium Air Filters provide excellent engine protection for normal and severe driving conditions such as dirt roads, construction sites, stop-and-go traffic, short trips, and interstate travel. These filters contain 30% more media than OES filters and use a phenolic resin treated cellulose media that contains glass and polyester in order to provide excellent durability against moisture ingestion. With an efficiency of 99.5%, Wix Premium panel air filters trap 3X the contaminants of leading competitor filters. The polyurethane seal possesses high tear strength and survives extreme hot and cold conditions. In addition, the expanded metal reinforcement with the large diamond pattern is designed to improve air flow and decrease restriction.

OEM or aftermarket?
An OEM part is made by, or for, the company that built the vehicle and carries their branding. An aftermarket part is made by another manufacturer to fit the same application, usually for less. Quality runs from below OEM to above it depending on the brand, so the name on the box matters more than the label.
